It is with sadness, the family of Ada Beatrice Johnson, age 94 of East Riverside, NB, wife of the late Keith D. Johnson announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Shannex Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. She was born on May 28, 1920 in Lakeside, NB, a daughter of the late Willis and Grace (Ganong) Wanamaker.
Ada is survived by her daughter Dianne Savarsson and her husband Freeman of Lakeside, NB; son David Johnson and his wife Brenda of Hampton, NB; sister Mabel Yeo of Brad Creek, Alberta; sister in-law Isabell Wanamaker of Nauwigewak, NB; grandchildren Heather Johnson of Hampton, NB and Keith and his wife Cheryl Johnson of Barnesville, NB and great-grandchildren Davy and Nancy Johnson.
She was predeceased by sister Olive Urquhart and brother Byron Wanamaker.
Ada was a resident of East Riverside the greater part of her life. She was a nurse at Chipman Memorial Hospital before moving to East Riverside in 1946. She was a member of St. David's United Church, CMH & CCH Nurses Alumni, O.E.S. St. Stephen Chapter #8 and the Kennebecasis Seniors Club.
She is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, (506) 832-5541, with visiting on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service conducted by Rev. Kelly Hudson-Lewis, will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 2:00 PM, from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Donations in memory of Ada, may be made to the St. David's United Church or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
