It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maurice Hunt of Rushoon announces his passing at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home in St. John’s, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the age of 81. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Brian (Donna) of Mount Pearl, Darrell (Patty Crean) of Truro, NS, Glenn (Linda) of Halifax, NS and Bobby of Truro, NS; daughter, Frances Hunt of Truro, NS; brother, Adrian (Susie) Hunt of Rushoon; sister, Mary (Richard) Roche of Chamberlains; 1 Grandchild, Colin; and Dora Hunt of Truro, NS; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice & Lucy Hunt; brothers, Camillus, William, Michael & Tommy; sister, Mary.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Rushoon, on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Christ the King Roman Catholic Cemetery in Rushoon. In Maurice’s memory donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or flowers gratefully accepted.
