NORTHRUP, ROY EDWARD
September 11, 1938 – June 8, 2015
Roy Northrup passed away suddenly on June 8, 2015.
Beloved husband of 55 years to Joan (nee Levitt). Loving father of Kathryn (Gary) Wegener, Talmage (Jen), and Grant (Heather). Proud Grandpa of Matthew, Spencer (Liz), Nicholas, Amber, Eric, Hannah, Charlotte, Eve and Grace. Dear brother of Patricia, Gerry (Wendy), Jane, Janet (Alan), and predeceased by Jack and Margaret. Brother-in-law to Malcolm (Jill), Barbara (Butch), and Margo (John).
Roy was a Lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 157, was involved in starting the Cadet Corps in Amherstburg. He worked for Waffles Electric, and retired from Nexen.
At his request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 129 Simcoe St., Amherstburg at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. John Burkhart officiating.
Memorial donations made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (Chair Lift Fund) would be appreciated.
