It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loving aunt, Thelma Mae Nicholson on June 10, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late George & Mae (Beach) Wambolt.
She is survived by son, Paul (Dorothy); sisters, Janet Doran, Sydney; Marilyn 'Bucky' Ryan, New Waterford; Velzora 'Tiny' (Ernest) Campbell, New Brunswick; brother, Gordon (Monica), Mull River; granddaughters, Jillian, Jenna; precious great-grandchildren, Kiaya and Coby, who were all the loves of her life, as well as her special nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Thelma was predeceased by sisters, Erna, Ada, Grace; brothers, Powley, Ace, Frank, George, Ernest, Earl, & Melvin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday, June 12nd. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.; both in the SW Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations to the C.B. Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
