THORNE, MARY
The death of Mary Yvonne Thorne, age 80, of Bloomfield, NB, wife of Donald Thorne, occurred peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Mary was born on August 6, 1933 in Yarmouth, NS, a daughter of the late John and Kathryn Gillieo.
Mary worked in the audit department for Sears Canada for twenty six years, retiring in 1989. She loved flower gardening, bird watching, sewing, and the Christmas season. Spending time with her two dogs, Maggie and Jake, was something she loved to do. She will be missed, love you... Donald.
She is survived by her husband Donald; son Michael Thorne; sisters Francis Guszczewski, Joan McRae, Dorothy Rogers, Irene (John) Jolie; brother Ralph Burrel; several nieces and nephews.
Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB (506) 832-5541 are entrusted with arrangements. No public visitation will be held at this time. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
