STEVENS, Oliver Cecil – age 82, of Argyle Head, Nova Scotia. It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Oliver announce his passing on July 4, 2015 in Argyle Head. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and the son of the late Andrew and Sarah (Pitman) Stevens. Oliver was a hard worker and loved his family dearly. He was known to be kind and generous and would help anyone that he could. In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, and golfing. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Doris; daughters, Heather Longlad (George); Kim Clark (Ron) and son, Tim Stevens (Laurie), all of Ontario; 7 grandsons and one great grandson; sisters, Ona Brittain, Forest Glen; Fannie Mason of Oshawa; as well as many nieces and nephews. There will be a private burial at a later date in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth.
