CHIASSON, JOSEPH "JOE" HEMPE
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joe Chiasson, husband of Viola Irene (Richard) Chiasson, who passed away on Monday July 13, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Richibucto Village, NB on October 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Aldelina (Babineau) and Stanley Chiasson.
During his working career, Joseph worked with Irving Pulp and Paper, the Port of Saint John and retired after many years with various paving companies.
Joe is survived by son Terry (Edith) of Geary, NB; daughter Rosella (Kenneth) Bradley of Saint John; brothers Armand, George (Lucia) both of St. Anne-de-Kent, NB and Arthur (Julliette) of Richibucto, NB; sisters Mary DesRoches, Jeanette Bourgeois, Bella (Arsand) Casey, Corinne (Emery) Casey and Eva (Johnnie) Leblanc all of St. Anne-de-Kent,NB; Edna Legere of St. Antoine, Dorice Gillette and Rita Bourque of Buctouche, NB.; grandchildren Tabitha (Jeremy) Tytler and Jennifer (Bill) Turell of Saint John, NB; great-grandchildren Madison and Emalee Tytler, Kaylee, Camryn and Owen Turell all of Saint John, NB.
Besides his parents Joseph was predeceased by his parents; infant daughter Joanne; brother Antoine; and sisters Blanche and Aldea.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Francois de Sales (77 Ch Ragged Point Road) on Friday July 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
