Helen Rempel

Helen Rempel

Date de décès : 8 juillet 2015

Helen Rempel, age 87, beloved wife of Frank, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015, at home enjoying some quiet time with Frank. Helen is survived by all of her descendants:
Stanley and Zelda (Langager) Rempel: Stuart and Joellen (Liner) Rempel - Jody Rempel (Maliah Rempel) - Karalie (Rempel) and Dmitri Voyevoda (David Voyevoda and Elise Voyevoda) - Jennifer Rempel - Kerilyn Rempel: Connie and Lorne Dennis - Christopher and Amy Dennis (Meghan Dennis and Ryan Dennis) - Matthew Dennis (Victoria Dennis and Tyler Dennis): Jane and Bob Sonntag - Michael Sonntag - Karrol Sonntag: Leann and Duaine Messer - Theo Messer - Danika Messer. Helen was born in Arcola, SK on April 19, 1928, to Henry & Aganeta Wieler and had nine siblings. She grew up during the depression years on a farm in Saskatchewan and learned what hard work and family were all about. Shortly after she purchased her driver¹s license, her sparkling brown eyes captured her handsome cowboy and in 1946, they began a wild adventure together as husband and wife. Their journey took them to Alberta and British Columbia, then finally back to Swift Current, where they raised their children and went into business together. When her family was young, Helen was very active with children¹s ministries, teaching Sunday School, VBS, and choir. Helen worked very hard with Frank building their businesses, first at the store rising early to bake the donuts, bread, buns and pies to sell for the day; then later at Rem Manufacturing bookkeeping, running the office, making deliveries, and anything else that needed doing. But she always had time for fun. If you saw her with a gleam in her eye and a water hose in her hand, you knew you were going to get wet! Helen turned every home and yard into a place of beauty. She was creative and had a green thumb that made anything grow into something magnificent. She was a whiz at turning chaos into order, and everyone who visits her yard or home remarks on the peace and sense of joy. Helen approached life with courage and a personal faith in God. She rebelled against convention, prayed diligently and fervently for her family, and accepted everyone as they were. She was never afraid to say what she really thought. She could make a meal from an empty cupboard. There simply wasn¹t a challenge that Helen wouldn¹t tackle. She was a woman of strength and dignity, and had no fear of old age. When she spoke, her words were wise, and kindness was the rule for everything she said. She watched carefully all that went on throughout her household, and was never lazy. Her children and grandchildren stand and bless her; so does her husband. He praises her with these words: "there are many fine women in the world, but you are the best of them all!" Proverbs 31.
The Life Celebration Service was held on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 1:30 pm from the Trailview Alliance Church, Swift Current, SK with Doyle Klaassen officiating.
