Passed away peacefully on July 14, 2015 in the presence of his loving family in the palliative care unit at the L. A. Miller centre, Bernard Finlay of St. Shott`s in his 90th year. Predeceased by his wife Mary (2002), his parents Thomas and Minnie Finlay, his four brothers and three sisters. Left to celebrate the life of a very loving and devoted father are his eight children, Doreen (Gerard Hayward), Ron (Phyllis), Roy(Ellen), Linda(Bob Buckle), Loretta(Jim Molloy), Jean(Hughie Pennell), Bernie(Corina), Keith(Darlene), 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two sister in laws Elizabeth and Ann Finlay and a large circle of relatives and friends. Also left to mourn, the staff and residents of Alderwood Estates, Witless Bay where he resided for the past two and a half years. Resting at Our Lady of Fatima Funeral Home in St Shott`s. Visiting hours: Thursday July 16th 7 to 9pm, Friday July 17th 10am to 9 pm and Saturday July 18th 10am to 1pm. Mass of Christian burial 2pm on Saturday July 18th at Our Lady of Fatima church in St Shott`s. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery.
