CHASE, RUTH
Ruth Marie Chase of Upper Salmon Creek passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015. Ruth was born in Chipman on March 25th, 1952, daughter of the lateReginald and Deveda (Demmings) Chase.
Ruth was a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 74 and past president as well as past district commander. She loved her family and friends. She always enjoyed playing darts, cards and bowling. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survived by her loving husband, Glen Robinson; children, Debbie Van Marrum, Jeff Van Marrum, Nicole Van Marrum, step daughter, Noelle Drost; 14 grand children; siblings, Madelyn Kirk, Edith Hooper, Leola Dennis, Charlene Pelletier, Stephen Chase, Basil Chase; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brother Mancil Chase.
Resting at Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. & Crematorium (28 Northrup Drive, Chipman – 339-6612) where family will receive comfort from 3 to 7 pm on Saturday, August 1st, 2015. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 74 will hold their service on Saturday at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held from the Christian Life Centre, Chipman on Sunday, August 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Patrick Halfrety officiating. Interment will be made in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 74 Veterans Fund.
