1936 - 2015
Jim Hébert, 79, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent, on Sunday, August 9, 2015. He was married to Bernice (Duplessis) Hébert. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Pierre and the late Elizabeth (Hébert) Hébert.
Jim was a welder by trade and co-owner of the Foyer Bernice Hébert in Bouctouche.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Bernice, his three children; Monique Richard (Charles) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Annette Cormier (Maurice) and André (Elizabeth) of Bouctouche, six grandchildren; Normand, Claudine, Natalie, Réjean, Ricky, and Mélanie and five great-grandchildren; Anika, Alexandre, Marisa, Samuel and Simon. He also leaves to mourn two sisters; Irène Maillet (Zoël), Emma Doiron and one brother Gerard (Annette) all of Bouctouche, as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by three children in infancy; Denise, Victor and James, as well as one sister; Léona and three brothers; Laurent, Fred and Alyre.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday, August 12 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Jim’s memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
