Passed peacefully away in the company of her family, after a lengthy illness at the Palliative Care Unit Miller Center on Thursday, August 13, 2015, age 75 years. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Charles (Charlie) Phillips on May 27, 2015, her parents Matthew and Alice (Aspell) of Oxen Pond Road. Three brothers Jack, Kevin and Patrick (Jerry). One sister Joan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, one son Paul (Rhonda) of Flatrock, her two grandchildren whom she cherished and adored Andrew and Amanda. One brother James (Pauline) in Ontario. Three sisters Elizabeth (Dan) and Bernice (Fred) in Ontario and very special sister who was dear to her heart Mary Dinn of St. John's. Brother-in-law Thomas (Marina) Phillips in Kelligrews and three sisters-in-law Theresa (John) in Ontario, Maureen Pritchard in Ontario and Margaret Iowa in US, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Immediately following the visitation there will be a memorial service at Cauls Chapel on Lemarchant Road at 7 p.m. Private internment to be scheduled at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Vera Perlin Society. The family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
