Edward Daniel MacLeod, age 60 of Mountville Road, McLellans Brook, passed away suddenly August 22, 2015 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Edward Thomas and Barbara Ann (Cyr) MacLeod.
Edward was a longtime resident of Mountville where he worked on the family farm. He was also employed at Trenton Works for a number of years. He was a member of the Nova Scotia Farmers Association.
Edward was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan and loved to attend the Crushers games.
He loved hunting and fishing. Edward was a gentle soul who was always there to help anyone in need.
He is survived by loving sisters and brothers Allan (Neilla), Mountville, Sharon (Ron) Grant, McLellans Brook; John (Janet), Linda, Michael, Vickie, Bernadette, Terry all of Mountville and David (Stacy), Plymouth Park; special nieces and nephews Shane (Angela), Justin (Sandra), Alecia (Steve), Sarah (Mike), Chad, Chelsea (Joey) and Travis; very special great grandniece and nephews Abby, Isaac, Edison, James and many, many good friends.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating.
Burial will be in Castle Hill Cemetery, McLellans Brook.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the IWK Hospital for Children.
