COMEAU, Denis “Denny” Joseph –
The death of Denny Comeau of Saint John, beloved husband of the late Henrietta (nee d’Eon) Comeau occurred on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Bobby’s Hospice, with his family by his side.  Born on January 3, 1925 in St. Bernard, Digby County, NS, he was the son of the late Ignace and Madeleine (Gaudet) Comeau.
From 1940-1945, Denny worked at Clark-Ruse Aircraft and at the Royal Canadian Naval Air Station in Dartmouth, NS, while working part time at CBC Radio.  In 1945, he continued his radio career with CFAB in Windsor, NS before moving to CFBC Radio in Saint John from 1946-1949.  From 1949-1956, Denny worked with CJLS in Yarmouth, NS and from 1956-1957 he was employed with the radio station in Bathurst.  Denny returned to CJLS in 1957-1958 and continued his career with CHSJ Radio and Television in Saint John from 1958-1975.  Denny was a leading pioneer in the radio and television industry whose contributions will always be remembered by all who knew him.  In 1975, Denny left the radio industry and started working in sales at the North End Sears where he retired in 1987.  Denny loved his retirement and especially enjoyed the company of his "breakfast" friends at the North End Deluxe.  Denny also was a loyal Boston Red Sox and Bruins fan.  
Denny is survived by his daughters, Charmaine Comeau (Ron Chambers) of Summerside, PEI and Simone Comeau (Terry Fowler) of Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Lauren Graham (nee Parks) (Colin) of South Korea and Colin Parks of Halifax; great-grandson, Ethan Graham; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Nelida Comeau, Anita Aymar, Exina Comeau and Cyriac Comeau.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation was held on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.  A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 10:00 AM.  Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
