Devin Connors

Devin Connors

CONNERS, DEVIN MICHAEL
Devin Michael Connors, 19, was granted his angel wings on September 14, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, New Brunswick. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Devin has touched in so many ways throughout his short, yet very memorable life. Devin gave us courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Devin was born March 15, 1996 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Our beautiful Devin was a quiet little boy who grew into a young man that thought of others first before himself. His soul was that of a “Giver”. If any of his friends or family needed him, he was their shoulder to lean on, always the first to give, even if he had nothing to give but himself.
Our beautiful Devin was very loving and kind throughout his life and we know that he is looking down at this community that has bonded and united together in his name. The kindness that has been shown to his parents and brothers by everyone is a testament that this loving young man was loved right back.
Devin graduated from Oromocto High School in 2014 and was a proud teammate of the OHS hockey team. We often joked how he was always in the penalty box and when asked why, he would simply offer his sideways little grin and say he was defending one of his hockey brothers. Although small in stature, he never backed down to anyone or anything; he is a “Champ”.
His friends were so important to him and most he grew up with, whether it was as kids playing ball, street hockey, fishing, hunting and his love of outdoors. He would want his countless friends and his girlfriend Maygan to know that he will always be watching over them.
Devin Connors is survived by his loving mother Jennifer Barrett and father Todd Connors (Twyla Winsor), and forever remembered by his brothers Payton and Brandon Connors; grandparents, Howard and Freda Connors, Phil and Nancy Barrett; great-grandparents, Stan and Sue Barrett; aunts and uncles, Shawn and Charlene Connors, Shelly Melody and Justin Melody of Hawaii; as well as several cousins and countless friends and family who were blessed to know him.
Devin was predeceased by Will Barrett.
Visitations will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral mass will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM, followed by the interment in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Devin’s memory can be made to the Oromocto SPCA, D’amours St. Oromocto, NB.
