Phillips, George Eldon
The passing of George Eldon Phillips, formerly of Rusagonis, occurred at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the age of 79.
Born in Nashwaaksis on May 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Bartt and Hazel (Davidson) Phillips and husband of the late Joan Frederica (Saunders) Phillips.
George lived in Rusagonis most of his life where he farmed and drove school bus. He had a great love of horses. He also resided in the Town of Oromocto from 1960 to 1975 where he was employed with the Oromocto Fire Department.
He is survived by his his children: Bernard (Leverne), Gary (Jill) Phillips, Deborah Nason (Murray Decker) and Dale (Loretta); eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna Noble (Marvin); three brothers, Glendon, Ellis and Ronald; one brother-in-law, Donald Sansom and several nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by one sister, Gail Sansom; and two sisters-in-law: Ruby (Mitchell) Phillips and Rae Phillips.
As per George’s request there will be no visitation or service.
For those who wish, donations in memory of George can be made to the White Rapids Manor Bus Fund or to the Alzheimer’s Society and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
