It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Penny McPherson at the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St Albert, AB on September 10, 2015. Penny passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 66, with her daughter Kristine Sembaluk (nee: McPherson) by her side.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her children Kristine (Scott) Sembaluk of Edmonton AB, Sherri Sawtell of Prince George, BC & Greg Guggenheimer of Prince George, BC; her step-children Irene (Brian) Maurer of Salmon Arm BC & Colin (Barb) McPherson of Campbell River BC; her Grandchildren Brittany, Ian, Jessica, Janae, Logan, Taylor, Hope, Shaye, Paige & Charlie; her God-children Shannalee & Joey Holhauser, along with her many nieces and nephews, extended family in Sask. and remaining brothers and sister.

Penny was always proud of her native heritage and enjoyed researching her ancestry and doing crafts in her spare time.

The family extends a very heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Sturgeon Community Hospital (ward 17, ICU & ward 15), your compassion and support will always be remembered. Thank you.

Per Penny's wishes there will be no funeral or service, and the family will be scattering her ashes at a private gathering on a future date. In Penny's memory, please consider a donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, or The Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation.
