GIROUARD, NORMAND
1951 - 2015
Normand Girouard, 64, of Dieppe and formerly of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Dr GL Dumont UHC, Moncton on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. He was married to Lola (Richard) Girouard. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Jean and the late Bertha (Collette) Girouard.
Normand was a very loving and caring person, an exceptional musician, poet and song writer, he was a visionary and a mentor to his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Lola, his two children; Carole LeBlanc (Stephen) of Saint-Antoine and Daniel (LouAnn) of Moncton, his five grandchildren; Samuel, Emilie, Lucas, Nicholas and Jonathan and the mother of his children; Rosella Poirier of Saint-Antoine. He also leaves to mourn five sisters; Alberta Girouard (Antonio Matos), Lydia Girouard (Charles Gauvreau) of Lachine, QC, Anita Willem (Albert), Béatrice Girouard of Montreal and Dora Arsenault of Cap-Pelé, his four brothers; Clarence (Marguerite), Aurèle (Anne-Marie), Claude all of Bouctouche and Rhéal (Nancy) of Gardner, MA, and several nephews and nieces.
Normand was predeceased by his previous wife Christine Hunter (2001), his sister Rose-Marie, seven brothers; Alex, Léo, Jean and four in infancy.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm followed by a funeral service at the Funeral Home at 4:00 pm, with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Normand’s memory donations may be made to the CHU DUMONT Foundation.
