Of North River passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Mr. Sparkes was 86 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: children: Rev. John Sparkes, Marjorie (Dave) Smith, Claudine (Gerald) Cox and Elizabeth (Eddie) Besso, grandchildren: Linda May, Stacy (Shawn), Bradley (Stacey), Tiffany (Jordan), Tyler, Matthew and Justin, great-grandchildren: Georgia, T.J., Connor and Felix, brothers: Noah (Violet) Sparkes and Allan (Mary Fagan) Sparkes, sisters-in-law: Florrie Mugford and Margaret Sparkes, special friends: Terrance Smith and Terrance Keeping and a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by: wife: L. Jean Sparkes, parents: John and Elizabeth Sparkes, daughter: Olive Sparkes, brothers: Charles (Elsie) Sparkes and James Sparkes, sister: Olive (William) Whalen, brothers and sisters-in-law: William (Evelyn) Bradbury, George (Sarah) Bradbury, Fred (Annie) Bradbury, Evelyn Bradbury and Ambrose Mugford. The Funeral Service will be held 2 P.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from St. George's Anglican Church and Cemetery, North River. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, L.T. STICK DRIVE, BAY ROBERTS, on Thursday: 1-9 P.M., Friday: 10:30 A.M. - 9 P.M. and Saturday: 10:30 A.M. - 1 P. M.
