ina Savoie, 83 of Bouctouche has passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Villa Providence, Shediac on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. She was married to Gerald Savoie. Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Cyrille and the late Salomé (LeBlanc) Melanson.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Gerald of Bouctouche, her eight children; Stella Cormier (Victor), Claudette Richard (Pierre) and Maurice (Charline) of Cocagne, Roger (Linda), Normand (Nicole), Gerard (Janice), Claude (Carole) of Bouctouche and Omer (Kevin) of Fredericton, thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by six sisters; Annie, Edmée, Elise, Lorraine, Germaine, Henriette and one brother Antoine.
At the request of Lina there will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Church in Bouctouche on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Lina’s memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
