George's love for action never ended however, doing his dances and summersaults way past the age of 72. He served as a Fisheries Officer for a time; Stationery Engineer; worked heavy equipment here and in Toronto and ended his working career at the age of 72, when declining health took over.

A sincere thanks to the Ridgewood Veterans Wing for their exceptional care and kindness to Dad while he was with them. The respect shown to us the day Dad passed was tremendous, from flying the flag at half mast to the flag draped over the processional to the van. The patients and staff were all in attendance and saluting another lost Veteran. Dad would be so proud, as we were.
Donations in Dad's memory may be made to the Ridgewood Veterans Wing in Saint John or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Online condolences and donations may be placed at www.stgeorgefh.ca
