MOREHOUSE, WINNIFRED LYDIA
The passing of Winnifred Lydia Morehouse formerly of Doaktown, NB, wife of the late Walter Morehouse, occurred on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 17, 1916 in McNamee, NB, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Francis (Reid) McAleer.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and was affiliated with the ACW. Winnifred was a honourary member of the St. John Ambulance Doaktown Division.
Winnifred is survived by her daughter, Lorna Nagle of Ludlow, NB; sons, Walter Jr. (Donna) Morehouse of Frankford, ON and Richard Morehouse (Carmen) of Burlington, ON; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Judy Morehouse; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Winston Morehouse; sister, Phyllis Miner; brothers, Vincent, Patrick and Glendon McAleer; daughter-in-law, Margaret Morehouse; son-in-law, Merlin Nagle.
At Winnifred’s request there will be no visitation. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Main Street, Doaktown, NB on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating. Interment will take place in St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
