Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, Janie Bishop of Blackhead, age 95 years. Predeceased by husband: Ernest; daughter-in-law: Judy; parents: John and Eliza Reid; step-mother: Hannah; sisters: Nellie, Ella and Gertie; brothers: Eric, Harvey and George. Left to mourn, one daughter: Marie Oakley; three sons: John, Guy (Peg Hoskins) and Emrys (Edith); ten grandchildren: Jason (Meghan), Chad (Elaine), Gary, Karen (Wayne), Kellie (Steve), Danielle (Chad), Tara (Jeff), Scott (Judy), Reid (Renee) and Mark; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Olive Mallan, Beryl Clarke, Phyllis Mizner and Joyce Miller; very special caregiver: Paul Butt; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Rev. Roscoe Cole conducted the funeral service on Sunday, November 15 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay.
