Keith Layton Jones, 64, Dartmouth, formerly from Sydney, N.S., passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital on Nov. 10, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer.
Son of the late Lionel and Ismay (Thomas), Keith is survived by sisters, Marsha (Clayton) Gannon, Carolyn, Vivian (Terry) Dixon, Tracey all from Halifax; brothers, Ken (Marg), Ernie (Joanne) of Dartmouth and Trevor of Sydney. Keith will also be greatly missed by his good friend, Terri-Lynn Myers, his longtime roommate, Ernest Symonds and all of the staff and residents at Twin Cities Villa where Keith, resided for the last 31 years. The loss of his smile, warmth and helping nature will be greatly felt. An avid wrestling fan, Keith enjoyed going to live wrestling matches whenever possible, helping the staff at the Villa and loved good-natured teasing and jokes.
There will be a small service and celebration of life held at Twin Cities Villa, 349 Pleasant St., Dartmouth on Nov. 27th from 1-3 p.m. with the internment to follow afterwards at Mount Herman Cemetery. Chaplain Ross Lawrence will perform the service.
