Gary Allan Killen, 71, Debert, formerly of West Bay Road, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, in Truro.
Born in Elderbank, he was a son of the late Murray and Ada (Rhind) Killen. He worked as an electrician at the Heavy Water Plant in Glace Bay.
Gary is survived by his wife of 49 years, A. Colleen (Livingston); children, Gary, Andrew, David (Crystal), Cindy (Tom), Holly; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Patricia (John) Miller; brothers, Alden (Shirley), Charles (Elizabeth); brother-in-law, Roger (Joan) MacDonell; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ethel MacDonell; brother, Douglas, in infancy.
Liturgy of the word will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 669 Prince St., Truro. Reception will follow. No flowers by request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro.
