Mona Anderson
Mona Trais Anderson of Stellarton and formerly of Halifax passed away on Decemeber 2, 2015 in Stellarton after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Mona was the youngest child of Arthur and Jessie (MacNeil) Morgan of New Glasgow. Mona graduated from New Glasgow High School and went on to complete a medical secretarial course.
She worked for various medical practices in Halifax and was well respected by doctors and patients alike.
Mona is survived by her husband John Douglas Anderson, sisters Jean Livingstone and Anne Cullen all of Stellarton. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters Frances Worthylake, Evelyn Flynn, Marjorie Morgan, brothers Arthur and William Morgan.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and medical staff that cared for Mona over the years both in New Glasgow and Halifax. Also a special thank-you to all those people who offered acts of kindness to Mona over the years.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 4, 2015 in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Family flowers only.
Donations in Mona’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital or St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow.
