Passed away after a brief illness on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by his loving family, Lawrence Hammond of Bell Island, aged 67. Left to mourn his passing, his loving wife Doreen, son Lawrence (Stephanie) and step-daughter Kimberly (Jon). Also mourning, his sister Clara, Lance Cove, Bell Island and brothers: Patrick (Ruth), Cambridge, ON, David (Eileen), Brampton, ON, Kevin and Terrence, Lance Cove, Bell Island, his nephews: Chris (Wanda), Torbay, NL, and Dwayne (Sheila), Sault Ste Marie, ON and niece Melanie (Joe), Thornhill, ON as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Missing his master, his faithful dog and constant companion, "Happy". Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the HSC ER and 4 South B as well as Fr. Roche for his support. Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, Bell Island at 2 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2015 with inurnment to follow at the RC Cemetery Lance Cove. No flowers by request. Family and friends will gather at St. Michael's parish hall after the inurnment for some refreshments.
