Vera Hazel Fraser, age 91, Higginsville, passed away December 11, 2015 in Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Newcomb Corner, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Dora (Henley) Miller.
Vera enjoyed knitting, quilting and crocheting. She and her husband, Lorne, were foster parents of many children.
Surviving are sons, Robert (Corinne), Timmy; daughters, Thelma (Ronald) Stewart, Lorna (Chris) Roebotham, Anita Seaman (Austin Darragh), Blanche (Francis) Lemmon; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Lake; brothers, Basil (Lola), Lester. She was predeceased by husband, Lorne; brothers, Harrison, Sidney, Bruce, Arthur; sisters, Mae, Amy, Gertie, Rose.
Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Higginsville United Church, Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Higginsville Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Higginsville Cemetery or a charity of choice.
