GREEN, Maxine Laurena - Age 96, of Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, formerly of Hantsport, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Born in Kennetcook on January 24, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Ralph Erskine and Adelaide Elizabeth (Densmore) White. Maxine and Stanton operated Green’s Canteen for a number of years. She also worked at various businesses in Hantsport. Maxine was predeceased by husband, Stanton G.; a stillborn son and brother, Perry. Special thanks to the staff of Dykeland Lodge. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). As per Maxine’s wishes there was no visitation. A public graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 22 in Selma United Church Cemetery, Selma, Rev. Beth Johnston officiated.
