October 22, 1921 – December 19, 2015
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jim Murphy of Osoyoos. He passed peacefully, at the age of 94 years, at South Okanagan Hospital with his loving wife and family by his side.
He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Joan; children Bonnie (Pete), Terry, Pat (Henry), Fraser (Roxanne) and David (Liz); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; predeceased by his infant son, little Jimmy.
Jim was born in Evarts, AB and served as a proud veteran of WWII. He continued his service to his country as a member and president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 112, Madeira Park, BC.
A memorial service will be held on December 29 at 2 p.m. at the Osoyoos Legion. Special thanks to all the staff at Mariposa Gardens, Dr. Tarr, Interior Health and the nurses at South Okanagan Hospital.
