HUTCHINSON, STEVEN
The Honourable Steven M. Hutchinson, retired N.B. provincial court judge, died on December 27, 2015, at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton N.B.. Born in Campbellton N.B. on April 28, 1951, son of the late Theresa Manuel and the late W. H. Hutchinson.
Steven graduated from St. Francis Xavier University and attended UNB law School. He was admitted to the bar in 1977 and practiced law in Campbellton. In 1995 he was appointed to the provincial court. He was Past President of the N.B. Provincial Judges Association. After a distinguished legal career he retired in 2014.
Steven was well loved and respected by his family, friends and colleagues. He is survived by his wife and best friend Lise J. Deschenes Q.C., his brother David and sisters Janet (Peter Wright) and Dawn, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He also provided loving eldercare to many family members.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton, NB, on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11 a.m. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.
