McGIBBON, COLLEEN YVONNE
The passing of Colleen Yvonne McGibbon of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 4, 1927 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late John McGibbon and Thelma (Currie) Savage.
She was a retired civil servant with the Government of Canada. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima and was affiliated with St. Anthony’s Church. Colleen was a past member of the Fredericton Art Club and a volunteer at York Care Centre.
Colleen is survived by her brother, Richard Savage (Marilyn) of Plaster Rock, NB; nephew, Skaught Savage and niece, Beth Savage (Adam Yake) both of Vancouver, BC and great nephew, Daylen Yake.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 12 to 1:30 pm; followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating.
