Sanford, A. Elizabeth, age 89, of Tonge Hill, Hants Co., passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor.
Born Annie Elizabeth Olive Robarts, on November 4, 1926, in Avondale, Hants Co., she was the daughter of the late Rodney and Annie Laurie (Harvie) Robarts. Elizabeth is survived by son, Jolson (Penny), Windsor; daughter, Marleigh (Lindsay) Mumford, Minasville; grandchildren, Jana (Henry), Cory (Tracy), Julie, and Michelle (Tim); great-grandchildren, Kirsten (Sully), Ashley (Aaron), Leslie-Ann, Shayna, Josie, Zach, and Alex; sisters, Merrille O’Neil, Sandy Cove; Gwen Tucker, Burlington; Nina Boyd, Windsor; Vivian (Russell) Feltham, Avondale; brothers, Bazel, Windsor; Neil (Sheila), Avondale. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ronald Boyd Sanford (2005); son, Dalton (1970); brothers, Tom, Karl, and Roy; sisters, Ellen MacDonald and Eva Blois. No Visitations by request. Arrangements under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, (902-798-2232) 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. A memorial service was 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016, in the Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Gibson officiated. Interment will be held at a later date. No flowers by request.
