The family of the late Sylvia Brake of Meadows sadly announce her passing on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn her 10 children: Doreen (Dougal) Park, Rex, Jacqueline (Glyn) Thomas, Ula (Curtis) Park, Alvin (Ethel), Danny (Deborah), Ramsey, Verna (Wade) Adams, Norma (Derick), Louise (Byron Allen), daughter-in-law Rowena, a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, sister Betty (Derrick), brothers: Jim (Flossie) House and Dave (Faye) House, sisters-in-law: Lena Bolt, Effie House and Barbara House. She also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Chesley, daughter Baby Delphine, son Ronald, parents Stanley and Susannah House, sisters Bertha and Inez, brothers Abe and Herb. Friends may visit Holy Trinity Church in Meadows on Thursday at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, January 8, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted, or donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Church Memorial Fund.
