EDMONDSON (BOYLE) (KELLY), EMMA JANE MARIE
With heavy hearts, the family of Emma Jane Marie Edmondson of Keswick Ridge age 79 announce her unexpected passing at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on January 13, 2016. Born in Rusagonis, NB, a daughter of the late Alexander and Violet (Foley) Boyle. Emma is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived her husband Ronald; daughters Judi Phillips (Randy), Janet Ackerman (Marvel); granddaughter Vanessa Hocquard (Scott); grandsons Jeremy Phillips (Erin), Justin and Jordan Ackerman; great-grandchildren Maya and Oliver Hocquard, Zoe and Dillon Phillips; step-children Greg Edmondson (Ruth), Joe Edmondson and Amy Scott (Darren); seven step-grandchildren; a step-great-granddaughter; and her beloved dog Spot.
Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Eldon Kelly; brothers Donald, Edward and Arthur Boyle; sisters Una Phillips and Hilda Anderson.
Emma was a member of the Mactaquac Baptist Church and retired from the DECRH in 1996 after 21 years of service. Emma loved Bowling and Knitting, but her profound love was for family and especially cooking for the family gatherings.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Mactaquac Baptist Church on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. A reception will be held in the church hall following the service. Interment to take place at a later date in the Prince William Cemetery.
For those who wish memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
