Passed peacefully away on January 16, 2016 at the age of 93 with his family by his side at Maple Villa Long Term Care Centre, Burlington, ON. Predeceased by his first wife Margaret (Tuck) and second wife Emily (Dyke), step-daughter Claudia, step-son Keith, step-granddaughter Julia and sister Grace Bown (late Wilfred.) Claude is survived by son Wayne (Marie Rideout), granddaughter Joanne (Brad Cook), great-grandson Kameron, twin daughters Joni (John Green), Jean (Milton Shears), grandsons Andrew (Tammy Field), Colin and Peter, step-daughter Claudette (Mac Mackenzie), step-grandchildren Suzanne, Colin and Claudia, Nicholas and Allison and a large circle of family and friends. Claude was a long time employee with Air Canada and a member of several community organizations and service clubs such as The Legion, Shriners, Truro Amateur Radio Association and Masonic Lodge. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service with burial will be held at a later date in St. John's, NL. Announcement to follow.
