With heartfelt sadness, we the family of Joseph Brian Curran regret to announce his passing on Jan.18, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with his loving family by his side.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late John and Esther (Crummy) Curran.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Dolores (Matthews); children, J.D. (Alicia) and Kyle (Allisha); grandchildren, Joey, Lily Beth, Payton and Joel Abel; brothers, Mike (Lynn), Jack (Nancy). He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Brenda, Lillian (Bob), Joel (Jeanette), Rose (Brent) and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Brian was predeceased by his grandson, Tristan Cole Matthews; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Matthews.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Glen Kent officiating. Burial to take place at a later date.
