Claude Burry passed peacefully away on January 16, 2016 at the age of 93 with his family by his side at Maplevilla Long Term Care Centre, Burlington, ON. Claude was a long time employee with Air Canada and a member of several community organizations and service clubs such as The Legion, The Shriners, Truro Amateur Radio Association and Masonic Lodge.
Claude is survived by his son Wayne (Marie Rideout), granddaughter Joanne (Brad Cook) great grandson Kameron, twin daughters Joni (John Green), Jean (Milton Shears), grandsons Andrew (Tammy Field), Colin and Peter, step-daughter Claudette (Mac MacKenzie), step-grandchildren Suzanne, Colin, Claudia, Nicholas and Allison and a large circle of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret (Tuck) and his second wife Emily (Dyke), step daughter Claudia, step son Keith and step granddaughter Julia.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service with burial will be held at a later date in St. John's, NL. Announcement to follow at a later date.. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
