Rines, Valena Lynn, 66, of Belmont, Col. Co., passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, with her family by her side. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Marion (Burgoyne) Chown.
She is survived by her husband Tracey Raymond Rines; sons Tracey (Tammy) of Belmont, Charles (Toni) of Truro; daughters Marion (Greg) Currie of Masstown, Stacey (Anthony) Bell of Bible Hill; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brothers Edward of Truro, Percy (Tina) of Belmont, Eric (Carol) of Truro, Douglas (Darlene) of Truro, Keith of Truro; sister Carolyn (Charlie) Weatherbee of Bible Hill.
She was predeceased by a sister Mildred Harnish.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation or funeral service by her own request. Burial will take place at a later date in the Belmont Cemetery, Belmont. Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Liver Foundation, Atlantic Region.
