New Glasgow: Marilyn Allison Purvis age 75 of Walkerville passed away on Tuesday January 26th, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Walter and Allison (Kirkwood) Beaton.
Marilyn was a member of Sharon St. John United Church and was a former member of the ladies guild.
She was a former employee of Hayman’s Insurance and Nova Scotia Power.
Marilyn enjoyed time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was an avid card player .
Surviving are sons; Graeme of Alberta, Brad of New Glasgow; Daughter: Allyson (Allan) Crawford of Stellarton; Grandchildren: Meaghan Purvis, Callista Crawley, Taylor Crawley and Ivy Crawford; Brothers: Walter Beaton of Winnipeg, Graeme (Marilyn) Beaton of Calgary; Close friends: Joyce, Joan and Keith.
She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, a sister Elizabeth (Betty) and a brother Bob.
Cremation has taken place there will be no visitation or service by request.
A family graveside service will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Marilyn may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital.
Arrangements are entrusted to the H.W.Angus Funeral Home.
