SEAMAN, J. H. ROCKY
James Hanley “Rocky” Seaman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his mother by his side, after a period of failing health. Born in Bathurst on March 12, 1975, Rocky was the only son of Alfred Seaman and Judy (Hanley) London and step father Paul London.
In his younger years, Rocky played drums with the Elementary school band, he stick curled at Thistle St. Andrew’s Curling club, bowled at the Bowlerama, and worked at McDonald’s. Despite his limitations Rocky had a true zest for life.
Rocky was able to go out on his own and achieve his level of independence after spending five years at the Angus John McDonald House in Moncton, N.B. He was the youngest member to ever work with the suicide crisis hotline and continued to be an active volunteer up until his passing. He was able to accomplish all of the goals he had set for himself. Rocky was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Rocky is survived by his father Alfred Seaman, his beloved mother Judy(Hanley) and his step father Paul London, his maternal grandparents, Billie and Bud Hanley, of Bathurst, step brother, Greg London and his wife Paige and their children Sydney London, Kate London, and Anna London, step-sister, Heather London, and her partner Dave Bishop, and her children Chole Myrshall and Ciara Myrshall, Uncle Malcolm London and his wife Barb, and their daughter Amanda London.
Castle Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation will be held at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. 634 1701 on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Andrew Morse officiating. A reception will follow the service at Castle “Fallsview” reception center. Burial will take place in Bathurst N.B. at a later date.
Donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for Sick Children, Extra Mural, or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to make a special thank you, to the staff of ICU level 1 of the SJRH for the care and compassion shown to Rocky on his last journey.
