MORIARITY, Leo Clarence, age 85 of Aylesford, formerly of Morden, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS surrounded by his family. Born in Morden, Kings Co., Leo was the son of the late Amos and Lillian (Whynott) Moriarity. Throughout the years, Leo held various jobs such as millwork in Morden, truck driving and for the last 29 years of his employment, he worked with Municipal/Dexter. Leo is survived by his partner Charlotte Keddy, Aylesford; son, Brian (Marla) Morton, Kingston; brothers Owen, Saint John, NB, Russell (Barb), Morden, NS; granddaughter, Samantha, Red Deer, AB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by sisters, Thelma McGarvie, Stella Selig and Tessie Whynott and brother, Ralph. In keeping with Leo’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life was held 2-4 PM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Aylesford & District Lions Hall, 2160 Highway 1, Auburn. Private family interment was held in Aylesford Union Cemetery.
