1922 – 2016
Zoël Cormier, 93, of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Foyer Saint-Antoine on Tuesday February 2, 2016. He was married to the late Bertha (Caissie) Cormier (1993). Born in Saint-Antoine, he was the son of the late Maxime and the late Alice
(Léger) Cormier. Zoël was a salesman and a business man.
He will be sadly missed by his six children; Georgette Cormier and Guy both of Saint-Antoine, Normand (Phyllis) of Moncton, Roger «Lindou» (Jeanne) of Cocagne, Ernest «Bébé» (Bernadette) of Dieppe, Léo-Paul (Kelly) of Toronto, six grandchildren; Michel, Marc, Renée, Julien, Pierre, Stéphanie and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn one sister Edmée Lainesse of Detroit and one brother Raymond (Viola) of Cocagne as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by two sons Joseph Ernest, Maurice, three sisters, Stella, Rita, Leona, four brothers, Léonide, Gerard, Aurel and Eric and a daughter-in-law Lita.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Friday February 5, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Saturday February 6, 2016 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Zoël’s memory donations may be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine or to the Alzheimer Society.
