It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Joseph Vallis announce his passing peacefully at the Sir Thomas Riddick Hospital on Friday, February 5th, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of 60 years Elizabeth, six sons James Jr. (Anastasia) Three Rock Cove, John, William (Donna) Nova Scotia, Fred of Nova Scotia, Brian of Ontario, Ryan (Kim) Alberta, four daughters Lillian Benoit of Alberta, Barbara Gabriel of Alberta, Philomena (Gerard) Kendall of Piccadilly, Ethel Vallis of Piccadilly, thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by William Keeping, Philomena Vallis (mother), Ethel Woods (sister) and Marguriet Drake (sister). Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on Saturday, February 6th at 7-9 p.m. and Sunday February 7th at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 8th at 10 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Grotto.
