Passed peacefully away at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 2, 2106 after a courageous battle with cancer. Alfreda Porter age 72 years. Predeceased by her husband Fredrick; granddaughter: Natasha Saint and brother Frank Spurrell. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her children: Tina (Brad) Saint and Jeff (Rosemary) Porter; grandchildren: Justine, Colin and Curtis; sisters: Harriette Mathauz, and Linda (Kevin) Power; and brothers: Wilfred (Nell) and Alec (Sharon). Also leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends. The Saint family would like to send our love and thanks to Harriette for her endless love, kindness and devotion to our mom. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses of the P.C.U., Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their endless compassion and care. At Alfreda's request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Barrett's Funeral Home Chapel.
