KRAUSE: Robert Edwart age 60 years of Swift Current, SK passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The Celebration of Life Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home and was led by Pastor Greg Kiel and the urn bearer was brother-in-law Mel Knockaert. Robert is survived by his parents Joseph and Ilse Sherwood of Queens, New York; his wife Marilyn of Swift Current, SK; daughters Christine and Valene (Patrick Gavin) of New York; granddaughters Destiny and Adriana of New York, sisters Veronica and Sandra and their families; mother-in-law Thelma Pleckham; brothers and sisters-in-law Mel and Carol Knockaert and Logan and Linda Demorest; nephews Cody, Dalen and Geordi; and niece Kiera. He is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his father-in-law Willie Pleckham. Robert was born in Coburg, Germany and attended school at Richmond Hill in New York City. He married Marilyn on February 23, 2006 in North Vancouver, B.C. His most recent employment was at Sinanos Grill. Robert had many interests including M.L.B. NY Mets and Toronto Blue Jays were his favorite teams, music, bowling, puzzles, his dog Daisy (who passed on February 2, 2016), artwork (drawing), working in his garage, sharing delicious meals at home or out with friends and family. He received his Canadian Citizenship on January 20, 2013, and voted for the first time in his life in the past federal election. He was very proud to meet Jill Officer - the gold medal winner and even had a chance to hold the gold medal.
