Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family, at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Monday, February 15, 2016, Irene Louise Sheppard (née Drover), aged 77 years. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Priscilla Drover; parents-in-law Harry and Annie Sheppard; infant grandson Matthew; and special niece Marjorie Mercer. Leaving with loving memories her husband of 55 years, John (Jack); sons Brad (Norma), John (Christine); daughters Michèle (Robert Cashin), Wendy (Brian Scammell), Heather (Keith Predham), Jacqueline (Jackie) (Alvin Osmond); grandchildren John, Laura, John, Jennifer, Adam, Ian, Andrew, Kathleen, Claire, Emma, Aidan; brothers Albert (Marie), Edwin (Regina), Aidan (Ann), Aubrey (Beverley); sisters Linda (Eric Giles), Joan (John Lane), Mary (Neil French), Mildred (Derick Guzzwell), Brenda (David Vardy); and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre Neurosurgery Unit and the Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit for their care and support. Visitation to take place at Carnell's Funeral Home, Freshwater Road on Wednesday, February 17 from 2-9 p.m., and Thursday, February 18 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place at St. Thomas' Anglican Church, Military Road, on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetary on Kenmount Road.
