Ross Quinlan of Wild Bight passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on January 7, 2016, at the age of 70 years. Ross leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ruth; son Jason; brother John (Hazel); sisters Margaret, Viola (Bill), and Linda (Don); sisters-in-law Millie (Rueben), Mary (Herb), and brother-in-law Baxter. He was predeceased by his parents Fannie and Walter Quinlan, his brother Ray, and sister Beatrice. Visitation was held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Cook's Harbour from where the funeral took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11 with Rev. Diane Smith officiating. Inurnment followed at the Cook's Harbour Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
