Ruby Lorraine Tucker (nee Perry)

Date de décès : 18 février 2016

Today our family lost a beautiful soul, a loving mother, caring grandmother, a strong woman and a kind spirit. Passed away in peace and dignity on February 18th at the Health Science Centre Complex in her 84th year a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Dr. Otto George Tucker; parent's Simon Perry and Francis Ball; her brother Harold Perry; Sister Doris Benson and Brother-in-law Robert Benson. Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts and lives of her sons (Bill) William J. (Karen) and Craig (Kelly); grandchildren Katie (Mike) Crane; Andrew; Nathan and Lily as well as a large number of nieces and nephews. It is hard for us to think of a world without her in it. However, her love was always overflowing and her grandson stated her heart was always the warmest. Ruby was a former Salvation Army Officer and teacher as well as a faithful and supportive wife of Dr. Otto Tucker. She took on the adventures and interests of her husband and proudly ventured where few had gone before. She was Otto's rock and traveled with him to the North West Territories in the early 1960's and across Canada as the partner of a man who was inspired to explore. She was a friend to many and was always positive and gentle to all. She will be missed but never forgotten. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Rd. Visitation will be Saturday February 20th from 2 - 4 and from 7 - 9. A Funeral service of remembrance will be on Sunday in Carnell's Memorial Chapel at 2:30. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or flowers gladly accepted. To send a message of condolence or sign the memorial guestbook, please visit www.carnells.com.
