Elaine Morris age 80 of Swift Current, SK passed away on February 14, 2016 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The Celebration of her life was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday February 20, 2016 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Shirley Wilson officiating. The Interment Service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Lexi Culham was the organist and the honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elaine is survived by her son Garnet (Shirley) Morris and grandchildren Carla Morris (Chad Croteau), Donnelly (Cory Sellers); daughter Cindy (Brian) Lee and grandchildren Ricki (Mike) LaRue and their children Kayden, Taylor and Brittyn; Sheldon (Rylee) Lee and their child McKenna; Lacy Lee; Kendra Lee (Dustin Ferguson) and their child Dax. The children of her late son Mark Morris, Ben and Emma Morris, Jessie (Daniel Marchinko), and Katie Morris; daughter Michelle Beres (Gary Starko) and grandchildren Bronson and Codie Beres and his children Serenity, Anna, and Gage. Elaine is predeceased by her husband Gerry in 2008; their children Mark Morris and Rhondalyn Morris in 1999; great grandson Rockford Morris 1981; parents Greta and George Ruttle; brothers Art and Bryce Ruttle; and parents-in-law Chester and Clara Morris. Elaine attended school in Bracken, SK and Climax, SK and later in life Lethbridge, AB for hairdressing school. She married Gerry Lorne Morris on September 4, 1953. Elaine was a journeymen hairdresser. She took her training in 1968 and worked full time in her home for well over 40 years. Elaine has many hobbies and excelled at all she did, whether it was sewing, embroidery or quilting. Once she retired she took a big interest in her plants and her yard. She spent many hours out there over the years. Elaine became an avid fan of Broncos hockey and the Indians baseball. She loved her facebook contacts and reading about different hobbies. Elaine loved her pets and everyone else. Never did she have a bad thing to say about any of them. She loved them all dearly as she did the rest of her family.
